Sharon's Figure Drawing Gallery

I am very passionate about preserving traditional drawing skills, especially life drawing of the human figure - more advanced skills such as animation and sequential storytelling depend on life drawing as a foundation. Here are just a handful of examples of life drawings and their application. New examples will be added as I complete more projects!

Pencil drawing of a female figure with crossed legs
This preliminary study of a female figure, done in pencil, provided a basis
for one of my digitally colored art prints (seen immediately below):

Check out my Artistic Process page for a more in-depth breakdown
of my work, from rough gesture drawing to finished composition.

Charcoal portrait study

I drew these last two charcoal sketches as examples during a private class I taught. Passing on these skills to the next generation of artists is critical - if you're interested in holding life drawing workshops, please email me to discuss arrangements, fees and materials.
